Anti-German Hysteria During WWI
Heinz-Dietrich Suppan will be the speaker for the January 23, 2020 meeting at the Bureau County Genealogical Society. The meeting will be at 7:00 pm at 629 S. Main St., Princeton. Suppan teaches German and history at Marquette High School in Ottawa and serves as an adjunct instructor at Illinois Valley Community College. Lovejoy Homestead Presentation
Pam Lange will provide a presentation on the Lovejoy Homestead. Pam studied American history in college and wrote a master’s thesis on Owen Lovejoy. She worked at the Bureau County Historical Society for twenty-five years, with the position of Executive Director from 2001 to 2016. She has been a member of the Lovejoy Homestead Board of Trustees for twenty-seven years.
