Do you have Bureau County ancestors? Our vast collection will help you learn about them. Our library is often praised for the number of resources we house, the pleasant atmosphere of our facilities, and the willingness of our volunteers to help with research requests.
We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 10:00-3:00, the first Saturday of each month 10:00-3:00, and other times by appointment by calling 815-879-3133 or 815-875-8491.
Come take a virtual visit to our library and see the extensive resources we have to offer. We may be able to fill in those blank spaces in your family tree. Our friendly volunteers will be happy to assist you to get the most out of your visit. If you cannot visit our library, please contact us by email (bureaucounty@gmail.com). For a fee, we will gladly do the research for you and answer your questions.
